Hi, this is Jamie Birch with JEBCommerce coming to you with another video! Today, I want to talk to those of you doing really well right now – affiliate managers, e-commerce vice presidents, etc. You may be having your best year ever, and we have clients who are having incredible years! Now is not the time to sit on your heels.
I want to talk about a few things:
- Creative Updates. Make sure your creative and your text links are up to date and reflect what is going on in real time – especially with your top selling products. This is an area that typically gets lost when things move quickly.
- Product Inventory. Knowing what products you have, when they are coming in and their counts is important. Communicate this information to your affiliates. Don’t allow them to keep links up for products you no longer have. It’s important to make sure your affiliates are reflecting what products you currently have – that’s what good partnership is. Be transparent on what you have, what’s coming and what they should be preparing for. Success and winning can fix a lot of things but can also cover up problems you may be having.
- Don’t lose sight of your program’s goals. ROAS, ROI, profitability, margin contribution – all these things. Make sure to keep the rope tight in times like this so you make it through, continue to keep people employed and create profit.
