When it is appropriate, we use our clients’ services and products at every chance we get. One of our newest clients, 99designs, we have used in the past and are I am currently using to surprise my daughter on her 5th birthday. There truly are a million different things the designers available to you in 99designs can help you with and I can’t wait to see my little girl’s response when she opens her gift.
So what am I having designed? Well, we all have those terms of endearment for our kids, most of us do anyway. My daughter’s nickname, my only daughter by the way, is the Squirrel Princess. I have no idea how I came up with that, but it’s stuck for years. My daughter loves being the (my) Squirrel Princess so I thought I would have something created for her room that shows her as the squirrel princess.
That’s where 99designs comes in. I want to have a poster printed out that is a cartoon type image of my daughter as the squirrel princess. I created a contest that you can view here, created the brief outlining what I was looking for and uploaded a pic of my daughter so the designers could create something that looks like her. It’s been running for 6 days, with one more left, and some of the designs are exactly what we are looking for. I’m so excited to see how she loves this very unique gift that I could only have gotten done by using 99designs.

We recently launched our 99,999th design contest on 99designs! It’s an AMAZING milestone to achieve in just 3 years.
In that time we’ve paid out an incredible $25 million to our design community and grown the business to where there are now over 1,000 new design contests launched every week and an additional $1.2 million paid out each and every month.
What an achievement!
