Publisher Diversification leads to 161% YoY Conversion Rate Increase for a Subscription Based Merchant

We often hear our clients asking about publisher diversification and reducing the risk of relying too heavily on one specific category of publishers. Recently, one of our teams was able accomplish 161% YoY growth in Conversion Rate by diversifying the publisher mix for one of our photography brands.

Sub-affiliate networks, FlexOffers and Viglink, provided a strong boost in performance as top 10 performers in the month of September. Both of these sub-affiliate networks draw a large volume of high-quality content sites that led to the increase in clicks and orders.

JEBCommerce was also able to leverage their partnership with UpSellit, who has been a top performer in this program, driving $3,600 in September revenue. Another newer publisher, Rakuten, drove sales volume at a 9% conversion rate which also attributed to the increase in overall conversions in September.

  • With ongoing recruitment efforts, nearly 43% more affiliates drove at least 1 click for the program (70 in 2019 vs 100 in 2020)
  • Exclusive codes have proven to be instrumental for this program, as the top 3 (UpSellit, CouponFollow, and Honey) all use KelbyOne exclusive offers with their audience.
