We’ve had many conversations this last week, as I’m sure many of you have had as well, regarding the migration of advertisers off of the Google Affiliate Network onto another affiliate network. Almost every conversation starts with “how long is this going to take and what do I need to be able to do?”, “what resources do I need to put into this network migration and for how long will they be deployed?”, or more simply put “how long will it take to get everything back to normal on another network, I can’t lose revenue”.
All great questions. The answers are pretty simple, as fast as necessary. Launching an affiliate network has three main bottlenecks:
- Network selection
- Contract Negotiation
- Technical Implementation
You’ll see I don’t list affiliate migration. A good team can move affiliates over very quickly, so that should not be your bottleneck. At JEB, we have systems, processes and a proprietary CRM and List Manager that allows us to get this done effectively, efficiently and quickly, and we have the staff.
The three bottlenecks I outlined above can all happen very quickly too. JEB has worked with all the major and secondary networks for years. So we know their strengths and weaknesses and can help you choose the right fit within the same day. Contract negotiations are also made easy, and again can be done with our teams at the networks within a day.
Usually, the single item that extends launch time frames is the advertiser’s ability to dedicate their tech team to implementation. We have all the tech docs and have done hundreds of integrations, so we can walk your team through implementation very quickly.
We have launched programs within 2 days, but that isn’t always typical. Below is a reasonable timeline for JEBCommerce clients. But again, it can happen quicker, let us help!
