Affiliate marketing is a highly cost-efficient strategy to acquire new-to-file (NTF) customers while effectively scaling brand reach. Our team recently implemented a targeted approach to incentivize publishers to drive NTF customers for a client in the animal care vertical. In an effort to aggressively test which partners could optimize best for NTF, we rolled out an incentive bonus program. This initiative created a level playing field, motivating all affiliates to actively participate in the campaign and maximize their contribution toward new customer acquisition.
At the conclusion of the test period, we successfully identified the affiliates that significantly impacted NTF customer sales. These high-performing affiliates will now become the focus of future optimization efforts. The results were remarkable. For example:
- Publisher A saw a 55.71% revenue increase month-over-month, with 53% of transactions coming from new customers, a clear indication of their ability to target untapped audiences.
- Publisher B achieved an astonishing 342.75% revenue increase month-over-month, with 43% of transactions being new customer sales, showcasing the power of broad affiliate participation and strategic partner alignment.
These outcomes not only illustrate the strength of affiliate marketing in driving new customers but also highlight how carefully designed incentive programs can accelerate customer acquisition efforts and deliver measurable results.
